DIET-DEAL v1.00 (TM)
Copyright 1994 James T. Crockett
DIET-DEAL is inspired by "Richard Simmons Deal-A-Meal Life Plan" and may be
used in conjunction with the same. Information was gathered from a number
of sources, including The American Dietetic Association. While I endorse
certain diet plans (including Deal-A-Meal), all information used in this
program is believed to be in the public domain.
No diet plan should be started without first seeking medical advice. Many
persons have special needs (cholesterol, sodium, etc.) which may not be
taken into account by a general weight-loss program.
THIS PROGRAM IS DISTRIBUTED "AS-IS" AND NO CLAIM IS MADE TO ITS SUITABILITY
FOR ANY PURPOSE WHATSOEVER. NO LIABILITY IS ACCEPTED, FOR ANY REASON, BEYOND
THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THIS SOFTWARE. YOU CANNOT USE THIS PROGRAM WITHOUT
ACCEPTING ALL CONDITIONS STATED HEREIN.

Using DIET-DEAL:
To use DIET-DEAL, first click the right mouse button on the name-bar (it says
Diet-Dealer #1 to start with). You can then enter your name. Choose whether
your diet should be 1200, 1400 or 1600 calories. It is pre-set for 1200
calories. To change, click the left button on the "1200" and follow the
prompt. Everytime you eat, determine the "price" of your food and move the
appropriate cards to the bottom half of the screen. Cards are moved by
clicking the left button on the top line of the card. If you accidentally
move a card, it can be moved back up by clicking it. If you click the right
button on the top line of the card, you will be shown a detailed close-up
with a list of foods you can "buy" with that card. When all your cards are
used up, you have finished eating for the day (The "FREE" card always stays
up, since there is no limit to the items on it). To reset your cards for
a fresh day, click the left button on "Restore All Cards." If you start to
"pay" for a meal and change your mind, click the left button on "Undo Changes."
Your cards will be restored to the state they were in when you started your
last operation (as long as you only moved cards and did not perform other
operations). DIET-DEAL can be used by up to five different persons. Click
the left button on the name-bar to change to "Diet-Dealer #2" and so-on up
to "Diet-Dealer #5." Enter the names of all your dieters. All data is
kept seperately and what one person does will not affect another. All data
is saved to disk when you quit, so there is no need to even keep your
computer turned on between meals. Click the left button on "Quit" to exit.
This program is Shareware. You are permitted to use this program for
a reasonable period of time (3 to 4 weeks) on a try-before-you-buy
basis. If, after that, you find it useful, you are required to
register by sending payment to the author. Registered users will
recieve, free-of-charge, the latest up-dated version with additional
features. You will also recieve special offers on other low-cost,
useful software. Best Wishes and I hope you'll enjoy DIET-DEAL.
